I'll be admitted to hospital today. Looking forward to being whole and holeless soon. This photo of the Greenslopes Hospital lobby makes it look like the Sheraton. It is a comforting thought that the staff see hundreds of patients like me and for them this is completely routine.

Hospitals are focusing on customer service alot nowadays.
Have a good rest and let others take care of you for awhile.
I'm not stalking your blog, but I keep checking everyday. Hope you're feeling better and mending well.
Thanks. I'm home and everything has gone OK. It is not an experience I would choose to repeat, but modern medicine is marvellous and I was pain-free the whole time and up and about quickly. I can now walk up slight inclines and feel a little stronger everyday.
I was going to write something like "David! Say something! Anything!" soon. Too "drama queen", plus, you might laugh and your op site would hurt. Ok, I'm going to take my foot out of my mouth now.
Glad to hear that you're home. God is great! I have been praying daily for you. :)
So, how's the West Wing reruns? I would rather watch Absolutely Fabulous, hahahaha...
Thanks 'Lis' and many thanks for your prayers. In fact, I've been watching anamie instead ('Howl's moving castle' and 'Spirited away'). Sometimes you think you will want something at a time in your life and actually you chosse something completely different. A rerun of 'Crouching Tiger..' might be next.
Wow! I love Spirited Away. Watched it on cable TV recently.
The other anime that I like is Ghost in the Shell. Superb animation and CGI. The idea is also interesting - in the future, we won't need physical bodies anymore. Our spirits will inhabit the internet and we can download ourselves into anything robotic. Cool.
Have you watched "The Departed"? It's a good watch. I watched the Hong Kong version donkey years ago and just watched the Hollywood version last weekend.
I remember a japanese book about living in the internet ('Neuromancer'?) before there was an internet. Will look out for 'Ghost in a Shell' and 'The Departed'. More medical tests tomorrow. A chest X-ray today revealed an enlarged heart, but I think this is pretty normal after my type of surgery. Nevertheless, it needs checking.
How'd the tests go? Rest up and don't sweat the small stuff.
I can't live without cable nowadays. I think I watch about 2 hours of Discovery Home n Health every week night. Everytime I feel like a late night binge, I just watch those shows on tummy tucks, stomach stapling, lipposuction etc etc and I freak out. There was a show "Super Obese" on a few nights ago. That was really scary - 500 lb men and women living in a nursing home. I don't know how they ever got that fat. I always ask H if I ever become 200lbs, would he still love me. And he always says, I don't have the genes for it. OMG!
The answer is 'Yes' (Boyfriend 101) - no elaborations or qualifications allowed. In fact, I've been in hospital again to have fluid drained from around my heart (2 litres of it!). I feel much better (and lighter!), but it wasn't an experience I would choose to repeat anytime soon.
